THE large chamber choir of the Midlands region

The Birmingham Bach Choir has been making a major contribution to the musical life of Birmingham since 1919, and has performed across the country, as well as abroad in Leipzig and Dresden. Our main programming focus is on the music of J S Bach and the baroque period, however we also perform music from all other periods, especially 20th century British music.
A new season of music introduces an eclectic mix that builds on the highly regarded repertoire and reputation of the choir and its conductor. This is a year of celebration; with the anniversary of Buxtehude's death, the concluding concert of the "Joubertiade" and the annual Good Friday performance of Bach's St Matthew Passion, in Symphony Hall with the English Chamber Orchestra.
