About the Birmingham Bach Choir

The Birmingham Bach Choir is one of the City's oldest and most distinguished musical groups. It predates both the City of Birmingham Symphony Chorus and the City of Birmingham Choir.

We are proud of our past, but more excited by our future.

We exist to give inspiring live performances to a professional standard that engage with our audiences, with a distinctive mix of new and established repertoire. We aim to communicate our enthusiasm for great choral music to an increasing audience with concerts that, like our rehearsals, are both purposeful and enjoyable.

Although this season we are singing mostly in the major concert venues of central Birmingham, we regularly explore new venues further afield such as Stourbridge and Pershore in 2006, Much Wenlock and Malvern in 2008 and Great Witley every two years.
