Jonathan Spencer

Jonathan has been singing in choirs of one sort or another since the age of seven and joined the Birmingham Bach Choir in 1989. Having auditioned as a bass, he later moved to the tenor part and in 1999 to the alto line - his claim to fame is that he has sung solo parts with the choir as bass, tenor, alto and (once) treble!  Jonathan has served on the committee a number of times and was elected Chairman in 2007.

His role as Chairman is a varied one but he considers the most important aspects to be the ongoing development of the Choir's profile with exciting venues and programming whilst maintaining its financial stability, and trying to ensure that everyone feels part of the choir and able to contribute as fully as possible.
